Blog started
 

As the expedition gains momentum a new section has opened on the web site in the form of a blog. For those of you who are unfamiliar with exactly what a blog is just think of it as an internet based diary.

Whilst the team are in Kyrgyzstan they will send back daily reports and pictures and possibly even video footage. All of this will de updated daily on the teams blog.

Media Interest
 

As the expedition nears its final phase the media interest has started to pick up. So far the expedition has featured a double page spread in the Sunday Express as well as the Western Morning News and Plymouths Evening Herald.

As featured in the news update on 13th July, BBC Radio Devon has aired a live interview with the expedition leader Steve Perry.

Along with this, BBC television South West will be following the expedition and having live 'link ups' with them that will be televised during the local evening news slot.

Competition Suspended

Switzerland Training complete.

Comms Checked.
 

Today the team are currently undertaking training in the Swiss alps with one of the main objectives being to check the communications back to the UK. This has now been achieved with the team both able to receive expedition and weather information as well as sending data back to the UK support party.
