What's It All About?

aisa map

During the Summer of 2007 a team of personnel from across the Royal Navy & Royal Marines will attempt to climb previously un-climbed peaks in the North Borkoldoy area of the Tien-Shan mountain range, Kyrgyzstan.

The expedition is dedicated to the memory of the RN & RM personnel that have been injured or have paid the ultimate sacrifice in recent operations.

The make up of the team will include both highly experienced climbers along with complete novice climbers.

Objective 1:

To climb a previously un-climbed peak in the North Borkoldoy Mountains circa 4800m. This will be the primary objective and should be achievable with the given experience and will also act as an introduction into the area.

Objective 2:

To relocate base camp into a different valley and attempt to summit peak 5169. No mountaineers have ever visited this uncharted area and if possible other virgin peaks will be attempted.
